“More than ground resources, aerial resources are crucial. This is my request. We have two Kamov helicopters in operation. I am aware that two more light helicopters will be sent. We need more heavy aerial resources. The situation is very critical,” Augusto Marinho told Lusa.
In statements to the Lusa agency, the Social Democrat noted that the “theater of operations is very complicated” with a fire that is “difficult to manage.”
“It is both dormant and flares up with violence. We cannot give it any respite,” he emphasized.
