Mayra Andrade’s performance at Casa da Música is scheduled for June 5, as confirmed by the singer’s agency in a statement released today.
In “reEncanto,” Mayra Andrade is joined on stage only by Cape Verdean musician Djodje Almeida. The singer invites the audience to “rediscover the origin and essence of some of the songs she has signed throughout her discography – from ‘Navega’ (2006), which includes ‘Comme s’il en pleuvait’ and ‘Dimokránsa’, to ‘Manga’ (2019), featuring ‘Afeto’ and ‘Segredu’.”
The album “reEncanto” was released last October, recorded live at Union Chapel in London in 2023.
On July 12, Mayra Andrade will present the show at the 79th Festival d’Avignon, running from July 5 to 26 in the French city. The festival’s artistic director is the Portuguese playwright and director Tiago Rodrigues.
