
Revenue up to September increased by 2%, surpassing $19.876 billion (€17.310 billion).
In the third quarter, McDonald’s earned $2.278 billion (€1.980 billion), rising 1% compared to the same period last year.
“We increased global sales by 6% and achieved growth in comparable sales across all segments, which demonstrates our ability to generate sustainable growth, even in a challenging environment,” stated CEO Chris Kempczinski in a statement today.
The company’s comparable store sales rose by 3.6%, reversing the 1.5% decline recorded in the same period last year and aligning with Wall Street expectations, according to StreetAccount.
In the United States, McDonald’s restaurant sales increased by 2.4%, exceeding StreetAccount’s estimate of 1.9%.
Its international markets division, including Australia and Canada, recorded a 4.3% rise in restaurant sales. Additionally, its international development licensed markets segment saw its comparable restaurant sales grow by 4.7%, driven by demand in Japan.
