Meo says it is prepared to maintain services in crisis situations

Altice Portugal’s telecommunications operator, Meo, has become the first company in its sector to achieve the ISO 22301 certification for Business Continuity Management System (BCMS).

This international recognition confirms that the company is equipped to maintain service continuity even during crises or disruptive events, according to a statement from Meo.

The certification results from an external audit of Meo’s new Business Continuity Management System, demonstrating that the company adheres to international best practices to minimize operational risks and ensure the security, reliability, and resilience of its services.

The ISO 22301 standard rigorously outlines requirements for identifying and mitigating risks, implementing contingency and recovery plans, as well as continuous monitoring and improvement of business continuity processes.

With this certification, the telecommunications operator strengthens its commitment to the quality and reliability of its services, providing B2B corporate clients with enhanced protection against unexpected failures.

At Meo, innovation and operational excellence go hand in hand. “This certification reinforces our position as a strategic partner for businesses by ensuring that their telecommunications services are resilient and prepared for any eventuality,” said CEO Ana Figueiredo in a press release.

For business clients, the benefits of this certification include increased resilience of telecommunications services even in adverse scenarios and the reduction of operational risks, thereby minimizing the impact of failures or incidents, among other advantages.
