The government has published an order in the Diário da República authorizing the Lisbon Metro to initiate a process to acquire ticket vending machines (MAVT), with a base price set at 7.55 million euros.
The order states that the process for acquiring these 166 machines will have a multi-year execution plan spanning from 2025 to 2027, with a 24-month term starting from the contract signing date.
The budget is allocated with 1.51 million euros for 2025, 3.5 million euros for 2026, and 2.54 million euros for 2027.
The document also notes that the amount allocated for each fiscal year may increase with the balance from the previous year and that the financial charges resulting from the execution of the order will be covered by funds appropriated or to be appropriated in the Lisbon Metro budget.
The order was signed by the Secretary of State for the Budget, José Maria Brandão de Brito, and the Secretary of State for Mobility, Cristina Pinto Dias.
