“At present, there are 24 available positions for Public Service Drivers, aimed at candidates who wish to join the team dedicated to offering quality service and actively contributing to sustainable mobility in the Coimbra region,” stated the company in a communiqué sent to the Lusa agency.
This new type of transport is part of the Mondego Mobility System (SMM), which will serve Coimbra, Miranda do Corvo, and Lousã with electric buses on dedicated routes. It will feature a suburban operation between the three municipalities and an urban operation within Coimbra city.
The launch is slated for the beginning of the first half of this year, with a connection between Serpins in Lousã and Portagem in Coimbra, while the remainder of the services is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
The ongoing recruitment process by MM aims to “strengthen the operational team in preparation for the start of operations.”
“This recruitment process reflects our commitment to the quality of public service and the creation of qualified employment in the region. The new employees will play a fundamental role in the daily operation of the mobility system,” stated the administration of Metro Mondego.
