Micah P. Hinson is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his album ‘Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel of Progress’ with a concert at Musicbox in Lisbon on May 10th, as announced in a press release. Tickets are priced at 24 euros, available here.
‘Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel of Progress’, released two decades ago, was the album that introduced the distinctive music and style of the American singer-songwriter. It includes the classic ‘Beneath the Rose’, which has accumulated over 14 million streams on Spotify, along with other tracks such as ‘Close your Eyes’, ‘The Possibilities’, and ‘The Day Texas Sank to the bottom of the Sea’.
Musicbox is a familiar venue for Micah P. Hinson, as he performed there in November 2017 following a long absence. He returned in January 2019, which was followed by a tour in early 2020 with stops in Porto, Vila Real, Guarda, and Portalegre.
Last year, the artist delivered a “voice and piano only” concert at the Cerveira ao Piano festival.
