The week concludes with predominantly clear skies and a rise in minimum temperature in mainland Portugal, as forecasted by the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), with light drizzle anticipated further north.

On Friday, the weather is expected to be “mostly clear, with periods of increased cloudiness until late morning, especially along the North and Central coast, where it may persist throughout the day in some areas.”

There are “periods of light rain or drizzle predicted in Minho and Douro Litoral, possibly occurring in some areas along the Central coast until mid-morning.”

According to IPMA, the wind will be “light to moderate (up to 25 km/h) predominantly from the northwest, shifting to southwest along the southern coast of the Algarve during the afternoon, and occasionally strong (up to 40 km/h) in the highlands of the Central and Southern regions until mid-morning and from late afternoon, and along the western coastal strip south of Cabo da Roca during the afternoon.”

A “slight increase in minimum temperature” is also expected. Maximum temperatures will range from 33 degrees in Faro to 20 degrees in Viana do Castelo, while minimums will vary between 19 degrees in Faro and 10 degrees in Bragança.
