
“What a great week to remember that we want to build a deep strategic partnership with the United States, in a market that is essential for all of us and where the United States is a reference not only in the technological giants but in all other sectors,” stated the Minister of the Economy.
The comments were made during the inauguration of the first of six planned buildings at the mega data center of Start Campus, located in Sines, Setúbal district.
“What a great week and what a great event to witness how fundamental a sign of commitment between the United States, Portugal, and Europe is for a common agenda for growth and commercial rapprochement,” he emphasized.
Upon completion in 2030, the campus will comprise six buildings with a total capacity of 1.2 GW, with network access ensured.
According to the company, construction of the next facility, with a capacity of 180 MW (Megawatts), is scheduled to begin in mid-2025.
