
A 17-year-old girl reported missing for two months from the Associação Respostas Terapêuticas in Marco de Canaveses was found at the Oriente railway station in Lisbon.
A statement issued today highlighted that the minor was discovered on the night of November 15 at the station, which is frequented by homeless individuals seeking shelter for the night.
Although it has been two months since she fled from the association where she resided, security forces confirmed that the girl is “in good health.”
The young woman is now under the care of her parents.
In a recent interview on the SIC program Linha Aberta, the teenager’s mother expressed her concerns over her daughter, who had been in the institution for about a year due to “suicidal and self-harm tendencies.”
The mother shared that she was “afraid” of what might happen, noting that her daughter was “without medication.”
