The defendant, residing in Ovar, is charged with two counts of aggravated child pornography and three counts of aggravated coercion.
The court has ordered that the trial be held without public access, permitting only those involved in the proceedings to attend.
According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP), the defendant allegedly created a fake profile on Facebook to deceive victims into believing they were communicating with a peer of similar age.
The investigation reveals that in 2019, the defendant contacted at least three girls aged 15 and 16, including one with cognitive disabilities, coercing them into sending sexually explicit images by threatening to release photos he claimed to possess.
During this time, the defendant reportedly conducted at least one video call with one of the minors, during which he demanded she undress. The girl complied, appearing completely naked.
The defendant was apprehended in August 2021, and a mobile phone and computer containing various sexually explicit communications with underage females, along with the images sent to him, were found in his residence.
The MP states that the defendant acted with the intent to satisfy his most basic libidinous urges, further emphasizing that the minors, by being exploited in such a manner, were “severely impacted in their free personality development.”
