The government will present a series of measures on Monday in response to the April 28 blackout in the electrical grid affecting Portugal and Spain, which is expected to include a national storage plan and changes to the grid control systems.
The measures will be unveiled at a session in the Ministry of Environment by Minister Maria da Graça Carvalho, along with Secretary of State for Energy, Jean Barroca.
At the end of June, the Minister of Environment and Energy indicated that a set of measures would be presented following the April blackout, though the final report detailing the causes of the event had not yet been released.
