A collision between a heavy goods vehicle and a light goods vehicle occurred at 8:01 a.m. at kilometer 146 of the A4, in the direction of Macedo de Cavaleiros-Mirandela, in the district of Bragança, as confirmed by the Sub-Regional Command of Terras de Trás-os-Montes.
The accident required traffic to be halted to allow for the landing of the INEM helicopter, according to the civil protection authority.
Noel Afonso, the sub-regional commander of Civil Protection for Trás-os-Montes, stated that the injured party is a 40-year-old man.
As of 8:45 a.m., traffic remained closed in the area of the accident.
