João Francisco Colaço Costa, a 22-year-old from Vila Nova de Gaia in the Porto district, has been missing since early Thursday morning.
This information was confirmed by the Municipal Police and the Public Security Police (PSP) of Vila Nova de Gaia, who stated there are “no new developments” regarding the young man’s whereabouts.
A Facebook post from the municipal police included a photo of João along with details of the last time he was seen: at 4:50 AM on July 31, in the Candal area of Vila Nova de Gaia. Since then, family and friends have not heard from him.
The post also urges anyone with information to call the number provided in the photograph.
The Jornal de Notícias, after speaking with the family, reported that João Francisco was last seen wearing a blue and white striped shirt and beige shorts. He is approximately 1.80 meters tall and weighs 65 kilograms.
The last known location of the young man was in the Candal area of Vila Nova de Gaia, where he resides, around 4:50 AM on Thursday. According to JN, who spoke to the family Saturday morning, the young man remains missing.
