
Until December 1st, the festival features 21 artistic projects across more than 30 concerts.
Among the international highlights of the 16th edition are Gustavo Santaolalla, known for soundtracks including the series ‘The Last of Us’ and films ‘Babel’ and ‘Amor Cão’, pianist Joep Beving, and jazz drummer Makaya McCraven.
Santaolalla will perform on November 10th in Lisbon at Aula Magna, Joep Beving on November 15th in Porto at Casa da Música, and the following day in Lisbon at Teatro São Luiz, with Makaya McCraven appearing on November 12th in Lisbon at Teatro São Luiz.
The Lisbon theater will also host Polish cellist Dobrawa Czocher, with the first part by American musician Julianna Barwick, on November 13th, Spanish pianist Moisés P. Sánchez on November 12th, and Swiss pianist and singer Yumi Ito on November 15th.
Moisés P. Sánchez will also perform in Porto on November 11th at Casa da Música. Yumi Ito has additional concerts scheduled at the Espinho Auditorium on November 14th, and at Cineteatro Louletano in Loulé on November 16th.
Among national performers, Sétima Legião will revisit the album ‘A um Deus desconhecido’ (1984) on November 12th at Casa da Música in Porto, and on November 30th and December 1st at Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB) in Lisbon. Singer-songwriter Valter Lobo will perform on November 15th at Teatro São Luiz and on November 29th at Casa da Música. Portuguese fado singer LINA_, accompanied by Spanish pianist Marco Mezquida, has concerts on November 14th at Casa da Música and on November 22nd at CCB.
The extensive Misty Fest lineup also includes Israeli pianist Shai Maestro, Portuguese group MAQUINA., Travo, Salomão Soares Trio, Sofia Leão, Danças Ocultas, guitarists José Peixoto and Nuno Cintrão in a tribute to Carlos Paredes, Austrian ensemble Wallners, Italian multi-instrumentalist Federico Albanese, Austrian Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna presenting the program ‘An Evening with Mozart’, German multi-instrumentalist Aukai, and German duo Grandbrothers.
