
The scheduling took place today by the leaders’ conference and was announced by the spokesperson of this body, the Social Democratic deputy Francisco Figueira.
The leaders’ conference also scheduled the swearing-in of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into Rural Fire Affairs, presented mandatorily by Chega, for December 11.
The plenary session on December 3 will be dedicated to political statements from the various parties, and for December 4, the discussion of the Government’s draft law on the Legal Framework of Higher Education Institutions is planned.
On the same day, parties will also discuss initiatives, such as one from Livre on the four-day week, another from IL regarding the re-privatization of TAP, and one from PS concerning the teachers’ career.
On December 10, there will be a plenary debate on the Ombudsman’s report for the year 2024 and the debate on the Major Options 2025-2029.
On December 17, two debates with government participation will take place, focusing on the State of the Union and on monitoring Portugal’s participation in the process of building the European Union.
The leaders’ conference scheduled activities until December 17, also setting December 19 for the elections of the five members of the Council of State, three judges of the Constitutional Court, and the Ombudsman, with candidacies to be submitted by December 12.
