The State Budget proposal for 2026 (OE2026) is set to be delivered and presented this afternoon, one day ahead of the legal deadline. Luís Montenegro has scheduled two evening rallies on the tenth day of the campaign: the first at 7:00 PM in Lisbon and the second at 9:30 PM in Sintra.
After an intense series of campaign events, Montenegro has no additional public actions planned for today, which coincides with the day when State and Finance Minister Joaquim Miranda Sarmento delivers the 2026 State Budget proposal to parliament and presents it at a press conference at 1:15 PM.
The Secretary-General of the Socialist Party (PS), José Luís Carneiro, spends the day in the north of the country, starting at 10:30 AM at the Mercado do Bolhão in Porto, followed by a visit to the Gramaxo Foundation in Maia. His afternoon continues in Braga, visiting a modular housing production unit, and concludes with a rally at Theatro Circo in Braga.
André Ventura, the leader of Chega, is also in the north, with a morning campaign event in the municipality of Gondomar, followed by lunch in Porto and a public engagement in Vila Real in the late afternoon.
Paulo Raimundo, the Secretary-General of the Communist Party (PCP), has three engagements between Lisbon and Setúbal, starting in Lisbon with a public engagement on Avenida da Igreja. In the afternoon, he participates in a local parade in Setúbal and finishes the day with a dinner-rally in Seixal.
Nuno Melo, the leader of CDS-PP and the Minister of Defense, schedules the start of his day for the mid-afternoon, with two campaign events in Montemor-o-Novo. He also plans a rally at 9:00 PM in Sever do Vouga, Aveiro district.
Mariana Leitão, President of IL, will be in Viana do Castelo for two campaign events, concluding the day with a dinner-rally in Braga.
Rui Tavares, co-spokesperson for Livre, plans to spend the morning between the municipalities of Montijo and Setúbal, with an afternoon “bike ride” through various Lisbon neighborhoods. He also plans to meet with cultural agents at Casa do Capitão and conclude with a rally.
Mariana Mortágua, BE coordinator, has scheduled a morning visit to the Cooperative for Education and Rehabilitation of Citizens with Difficulties in Sintra. In the afternoon, she has street canvassing in Barcelos and concludes with a dinner-rally in Braga.
Inês de Sousa Real, spokesperson for PAN, starts her campaign day in Almada with a visit to the Laranjeiro Solidarity and Development Association, followed by a meeting with the Barreiro hospital administration. In the afternoon, she’ll be in Setúbal visiting the municipal kennel, then continues with street canvassing in Seixal.
