Luís Montenegro conveyed a message on the social media platform X on Saturday, highlighting and praising the efforts of Civil Protection in response to the severe weather affecting Portugal. He also extended his “heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased victim” from this morning in Albufeira, Algarve.
“In the face of an extreme weather event in Albufeira, Civil Protection responded with full commitment and the greatest possible speed, as has been the practice during this highly demanding week in terms of weather conditions. Unfortunately, severe consequences could not be avoided. I express heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased victim and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” Montenegro wrote on X.
