The leader of AD, Luís Montenegro, was in Figueira da Foz on Thursday morning as part of his campaign for the legislative elections scheduled for May 18. However, the spotlight was on Pedro Santana Lopes, the former prime minister and current mayor of the city.
The mayor was challenged to sing and dance to ‘Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido’ by the artist Karol G, a song he chose and hummed during his commentary segment on the Now channel towards the end of 2024.

Luís Montenegro was joined by AD’s top candidate for Coimbra, Justice Minister Rita Júdice, as they visited a renovation project for old military buildings in Figueira da Foz, which had been left abandoned for decades.
Pedro Santana Lopes elaborated that the project aims to create 60 apartments with “affordable rents,” primarily targeting young students.
