A fire broke out near National Road 372 and has spread to the municipality of Sousel, as reported by a source from the Alto Alentejo Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command. The alarm was raised at 3:07 PM.
The fire is consuming brush and pine trees, according to the same source.
As of 4:50 PM, 119 personnel, supported by 30 vehicles and five air assets, were involved in firefighting efforts, the Civil Protection source stated.
At the same time, there were no reports of injuries or houses at risk, the source added.
