Several municipalities in the northern and central interior, as well as the Algarve, are currently facing a very high risk of rural fire, according to the IPMA.
This risk level, assessed by the IPMA, spans five categories ranging from low to maximum. The calculations take into account air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and precipitation over the last 24 hours.
Today’s mainland forecast predicts slightly cloudy or clear skies, generally light winds, a slight increase in maximum temperatures in the northern and central interior, and a slight decrease in the Algarve.
Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 6 degrees Celsius in Bragança and 17 degrees in Lisbon and Portalegre, while maximum temperatures will vary between 22 degrees in Guarda and 31 degrees in Évora.
