
The campaign took place from October 14 to 20, aiming to warn drivers about the risks of speeding, a leading cause of road accidents.
In total, 5,603,754 vehicles were monitored, with 23,724 traffic violations recorded, 14,829 of which were related to speeding.
The campaign was carried out by the National Road Safety Authority, GNR, and PSP, also involving the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira.
To the drivers approached directly, authorities conveyed messages regarding the dangers of speeding, a factor in one out of three fatal accidents.
