A source from the Beiras and Serra da Estrela Sub-regional Command reported at 11:45 PM that the fire remained active.
The fire broke out at 10:17 PM in a sofa factory, the source added.
According to the website of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC), at 11:45 PM, 42 personnel were on the scene, supported by 12 vehicles.
