A fire is currently burning in the area surrounding a factory in the Leiria region, according to the Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command. Authorities have confirmed that the factory’s main building has not been affected.
The fire was reported at 3:59 PM, and both firefighters and earth-moving machinery from the Ansião Municipality are engaged in battling the blaze due to the factory’s combustible materials. Special precautions are being taken considering the type of fuel involved.
Information from the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection indicates that 103 personnel and 34 vehicles have been deployed to the scene.
