Moreno Veloso returns to Portugal with ‘Mundo Paralelo’

Moreno Veloso is set to return to Portugal for a series of concerts scheduled for May. The Brazilian singer will present his show ‘Mundo Paralelo’, as announced in a press release sent to news outlets.

The concerts are planned for May 7 at the Teatro Maria Matos in Lisbon, May 9 at Casa da Criatividade in São João da Madeira, May 10 at the Teatro Municipal da Covilhã, and May 11 at Ponto C in Penafiel.

‘Mundo Paralelo’ is the artist’s new album and “was recorded between Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro”. The release is described as “a projection of evidently positive images that point to a happier world, even when the immediate situation is in complete discord with happiness. It was carefully crafted around this alternate reality, with a transcendent view that goes beyond the norm—a view that is more beautiful and joyful, even in the most challenging times, such as during the Covid-19 pandemic, when the album began to take shape,” the statement notes.

Joining Moreno Veloso on stage are musicians and “friends,” Domenico Lancellotti (drums), Pedro Sá (guitar), Ricardo Dias Gomes (bass), and Leo Reis (percussion).
