Mota-Engil signs contracts in Portugal, Mexico, and Rwanda

The largest contract was signed in Mexico, involving railway construction with an approximate total value of 290 million euros, as stated in a communication to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) today.

In Rwanda, “additional contracts within the scope of Work Stream II of the Bugesera International Airport worth 162 million euros” were signed, marking a project that “will be a very significant hub on the African continent.”

In Portugal, the group “signed a construction contract valued at 108 million euros, with an estimated duration of 29 months, involving the execution of a residential project in Lisbon,” according to the statement.

Mota-Engil indicates that the awarding of these contracts reflects its strategy “to consolidate its leadership position in Portugal, Mexico, and the African continent,” while also strengthening its order book.
