An accident occurred around 1:00 a.m. today in Cabanões de Baixo, along the national road 231.
A representative from the Viseu Dão Lafões Sub-regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection confirmed that a fatality was declared at the scene.
The seriously injured individual was transported to the Hospital of Viseu, it was reported.
The incident involved the presence of the GNR, Viseu Firefighters, and the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER), with a total of 16 operatives and eight vehicles on site.
