
The Polícia Judiciária (PJ) has apprehended the third suspect in connection with the murder of a homeless man, approximately 40 years old, which occurred last week in the Paim area of Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel in the Azores.
The man is set to appear before the court in Ponta Delgada on Monday afternoon, where an appropriate preventive measure will be determined.
The other two suspects had been arrested on Friday, April 18, and are currently awaiting trial in preventive detention.
According to a source from the PJ, all the suspects involved have criminal records, including the victim, who had previously served a sentence for murder.
The source further indicated that the individuals involved were likely under the influence of synthetic drugs.
