Salvador Sobral and NAPA, Portugal’s representatives at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017 and 2025, respectively, came together at an event in Funchal, in the Madeira archipelago, and performed ‘Amar Pelos Dois’ and ‘Deslocado’—the songs they took to the European competition.
“An unforgettable night in Madeira. Thank you, Salvador and André, for the invitation”, expressed the Madeiran band NAPA in a video posted on Instagram.
The artists participated in the Concertos no Pátio 2025 initiative at the Castanheiro Boutique Hotel last Wednesday. According to the establishment, the participation of two members from NAPA was a “surprise.”
Salvador Sobral and NAPA also performed ‘Infinito,’ the band’s latest single with artist Van Zee.

This was not the first time Salvador Sobral, who won the Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Amar Pelos Dois,’ performed the song ‘Deslocado.’ He did so in May, days before NAPA took the European stage. At that time, Salvador Sobral and Madeiran musician André Santos were filmed singing a few verses on the streets of Uzbekistan, following their participation in the International Jazz Festival in Tashkent.

Salvador Sobral, who won Eurovision in 2017 with ‘Amar Pelos Dois,’ in Kyiv, Ukraine, recently participated in the International Jazz Festival in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan.

‘Amar Pelos Dois,’ it should be remembered, won Eurovision in 2017, in Kyiv, Ukraine, with a record 758 points. This was Portugal’s first and only victory in the European festival.
Meanwhile, ‘Deslocado’ ranked low in the Eurovision final, but the song has become a global hit over the recent months, reaching the Spotify Global Viral top, currently sitting at 18th position this Friday. In total, ‘Deslocado’ has been played over 25 million times on the streaming platform.
The song’s success is largely due to a trend on TikTok, where more than 200,000 videos featuring the music have been created, amassing over 880 million views.
