Salvador Sobral and the NAPA, who represented Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017 and 2025 respectively, recently came together at an event in Funchal, in the Madeira archipelago, and performed “Amar Pelos Dois” and “Deslocado,” the songs featured in the European competition.
“An unforgettable night in Madeira. Thank you, Salvador and André, for the invitation”, stated the band NAPA from Madeira on a video posted to Instagram.
The artists participated in the Concertos no Pátio 2025 initiative at the Castanheiro Boutique Hotel last Wednesday. According to the establishment, the involvement of two members of NAPA was a “surprise.”
Salvador Sobral and the NAPA also performed “Infinito,” the band’s latest single featuring artist Van Zee.

This was not the first time Salvador Sobral, the Eurovision Song Contest winner with “Amar Pelos Dois,” sang the song “Deslocado.” He did so in May, days before the NAPA took the European stage. At that time, Salvador Sobral and the Madeiran musician André Santos recorded themselves humming some verses in the streets of Uzbekistan, following a participation in the International Jazz Festival in Tashkent.

Salvador Sobral, who won Eurovision in 2017 with “Amar Pelos Dois,” in Kyiv, Ukraine, recently participated in the International Jazz Festival in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

“Amar Pelos Dois” won Eurovision in 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine, with a record 758 points. This was Portugal’s first and only victory in the European festival.
Meanwhile, “Deslocado” ranked among the lower placements in the Eurovision final but has become a global success in recent months, entering Spotify’s Global Viral top 50, currently standing at the 18th position this Friday. In total, “Deslocado” has been played over 25 million times on the streaming platform.
The song’s success is largely due to a trend on TikTok, where over 200,000 videos featuring the music have been made, amassing over 880 million views.
