
In the upcoming week, motorists can anticipate a reduction in fuel prices, impacting both diesel and gasoline. According to industry sources mentioned by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), diesel prices are expected to decrease by 1.5 cents per liter, while gasoline prices may drop by 2 cents per liter.
The ACP has indicated that, should these predictions hold true, the average price of simple diesel is projected to be 1.511 euros per liter, while the price of simple 95 gasoline is likely to fall to 1.664 euros per liter.
Data from the Direção Geral de Energia e Geologia (DGEG) showed that as of Friday, May 2, the average price of a liter of diesel in Portugal was 1.526 euros, whereas gasoline was priced at 1.684 euros per liter.
The report further indicates that compared to October 1, 2024, current prices reflect a decrease of 1.4 cents in diesel and an increase of 2.5 cents in gasoline.
