“From the internal perspective of the party, from the way we see our results, it is undoubtedly a disappointment,” stated the president of Nova Direita.
According to the provisional result released by the Ministry of Internal Administration, ND secured 0.14%, corresponding to 8,217 votes, which marks a decline from the last legislative elections where it recorded 0.27%, equivalent to 16,456 votes.
“People, understandably, are clearly wanting a regime change,” added Ossanda Líber.
For the party’s president, the election outcome, won by the AD – a PSD/CDS coalition, “does not solve people’s problems,” and she believes that “parliament will continue to be unstable.”
