“We expect to be in a position to announce the operation in the next month and a half,” an official source stated today.

The Portuguese unicorn will also award 20 research scholarships in health, technology, and AI, with the “remuneration policy aligned with practices in this area, inspired by foundations like the FCT, La Caixa, among others,” added the same source.

The tech company also announced an annual bonus of 20% for all employees living in or willing to move to the interior of Portugal, “thus covering all municipalities considered interior territories,” and a minimum salary of 1,305 euros.

These measures will take effect on Tuesday, July 1.

When asked about the work model of the approximately 500 workers in Portugal, an official source explained that they “have a flexible work model, alternating between hybrid and remote models, depending on their roles and location.”

These employees “are spread across almost all districts of Portugal, from Viana do Castelo, Guarda, Santarém to Faro.”

The company is seeking “100 new employees, mainly to strengthen the teams” in AI, technology, product, and operations, and most of the open positions can be performed remotely.

Sword Health currently has more than 1,000 employees, about half of whom are located in Portugal.

On June 17, the Portuguese tech company announced a funding round of 40 million dollars (almost 35 million euros) to continue strengthening research and development and new health solutions, raising its valuation to 4 billion dollars (3.462 billion euros at the current exchange rate).
