Nike announced on Thursday that it would shift its production to mitigate the impact of tariffs imposed by Washington on imports from China.
Production in the Asian giant accounts for about 16% of the footwear imported by Nike to the U.S., stated the brand’s CFO during a conference on Thursday. The objective is to reduce this figure to a single digit by the end of the fiscal year 2026 (May 31 of the following year), he added.
In the Dow Jones, Goldman Sachs gained 2.58%, and Amazon increased by 2.42%, in contrast to a 1.27% loss by retailer Walmart.
