The New Year’s Eve is always a festive occasion, often accompanied by various superstitions, with many spending days or weeks planning to ensure everything goes perfectly at the critical moment. Cities typically host lively events, and some municipalities have already announced the artists who will be featured in the transition from 2025 to 2026.

Plutonio and reggaeton at the New Year’s Eve party in Lisbon
Plutonio and DJ Mojo, accompanied by MC Márcio Jesus, are set to perform at the New Year’s Eve party in Terreiro do Paço, Lisbon.
In a statement, EGEAC – Empresa de Gestão de Equipamentos e Animação Cultural announced that the night will start at 9:30 PM with DJ Mojo, alongside MC Márcio Jesus, providing music between afro-house and pop, reggaeton, and urban beats.
Plutonio takes the stage from 10:30 PM with rhythms such as hip-hop/trap and R&B.
The end of his concert marks the countdown to midnight, followed by a 10-minute fireworks display from the Tagus River, synchronized with 250 drones.
The entertainment will continue until 1:00 AM on January 1st with DJ Mojo returning to the stage, this time with MC Helder Tavares, for the “I Love Reggaeton” show.

Clã, Nininho Vaz Maia, and Beatbombers in Porto
In Porto, the farewell to 2025 and the welcome to 2026 will take place, as usual, on Avenida dos Aliados, featuring Clã, Nininho Vaz Maia, and Beatbombers. Aside from concerts, “the night also includes a multimedia and pyromusical show to usher in the new year”.
The evening starts at 10:00 PM with a concert by Clã and unveils the “much-anticipated multimedia and firework display conceived by Grandpa’s Studio” at midnight.
The early hours of the new year “will be filled by Nininho Vaz Maia,” who performs from 12:30 AM. The night will conclude with a DJ set by Beatbombers, a duo formed by DJ Ride and Stereossauro, starting at 2:00 AM.
Sara Correia welcomes the New Year in Faro
Faro has also disclosed who will welcome the new year. Jardim Manuel Bivar “will once again be the grand stage of the celebration,” with Sara Correia as the headliner.
Opening the celebrations at 10:15 PM will be Manga Limão, with Sara Correia taking the stage at 11:30 PM and returning after the fireworks.
Richie Campbell and Sétima Legião in Figueira da Foz
Last month, it was announced that singer Richie Campbell and band Sétima Legião will enliven the New Year’s Eve party in Figueira da Foz.
The New Year’s Eve party takes place from Wednesday to Thursday, with the municipality planning a program that continues over the weekend.

Coimbra rings in the New Year with Dino D’Santiago and Branko
Coimbra will celebrate the New Year with concerts by Dino D’Santiago, Branko, and MXGPU, all concentrated on a single day this year, unlike 2024.
Dino D’Santiago will perform at 12:15 AM on January 1st, and Branko at 10:30 PM on December 31st at Mosteiro de Santa Clara-a-Velha, while MXGPU, a project combining Moullinex and GPU Panic, takes the stage at Praça do Comércio at 1:45 AM on January 1st.
The night will also feature performances by Club Banditz, marking their first show since the Covid-19 pandemic, DJ Fabior, DJ Miguel Rendeiro, and Ruze.
Praça 8 de Maio will host world dance music on a 360º stage, while Quebra-Costas will feature jazz and rock from Coimbra.
The fireworks display will begin at midnight on the Mondego River, between the Pedro and Inês and Santa Clara bridges, lasting ten minutes.

Némanus headline New Year celebrations in Mira
The Portuguese duo Némanus was announced today as the headlining act for the New Year’s festivities in Mira, on the coast of the Coimbra district.
The duo, comprising brothers Né and Hélder Vieira from Peniche, is known for songs like “Dançando Kizomba,” “Sinto Falta Dela,” and “Funaná Contigo,” blending Brazilian and African rhythms with traditional Portuguese music.
Apart from Némanus, set to perform at 12:15 AM on January 1, 2026, the program includes the Vibe group (10:00 PM), before the pyromusical show welcoming the new year, and concludes with DJs Electric Boys, both natives of Praia de Mira.

Carlão to liven up New Year’s Eve in Viseu
Portuguese music by Carlão will enliven the New Year’s Eve at Campo de Viriato in Viseu, which promises to be an “excellent destination,” announced the municipality at the beginning of December.
The founder of the Portuguese band Da Weasel will perform after the fireworks display marking the New Year, with Grupo TZ Music providing entertainment leading up to the countdown.
The party will continue into the night, with Carlão followed by the DJ duo Os Piratas.

Anselmo Ralph enlivens New Year in Leiria
In Leiria, the spectacle will be led by singer Anselmo Ralph, with free entry, following the pyromusical show at midnight, according to a press release from the Municipality sent to the Lusa agency.
On December 31, “from 10:30 PM, Elsa Gomes opens the party with a concert featuring popular themes and rhythms promising to get the crowd singing and dancing,” the municipality stated, followed by “a luminous celebration in the Leiria sky” at midnight.
At 12:30 AM on January 1, Anselmo Ralph’s concert begins, “one of the artists most cherished by the Portuguese audience, bringing to the historic center the hits that earned him millions of listens and sold-out shows,” the note reads.
From 2:00 AM, Kid Loco & Los Mysterios “take over the decks and stage, in an ‘after-party’ format, ensuring electronic beats, Latin fusions, and a selection of tracks that will keep the dance floor moving until 4:00 AM.”

Karetus at New Year’s Eve in Castelo Branco
Portuguese music and a pyromusical show are highlights of the year-end in Castelo Branco, as revealed in the program disclosed by the municipality. The party features Karetus, comprised of DJs and producers Carlos Silva and André Reis, as the headliners.
The evening starts with Banda Estilus (9:45 PM), followed by Os Red at 11:00 PM.
At midnight, the new year arrives with a pyromusical show, Astrum – O olhar do Homem, by Pirotecnia Oleirense, that includes light games, music, and water, as this year, the luminous fountain located in the civic center will also be part of this event.
Ten minutes later, the musical animation continues with Karetus (12:10 AM) and extends into the night with DJ All In Project (1:45 AM).
Expensive Soul enlivens New Year in Ponta Delgada
The band Expensive Soul will ensure the New Year’s Eve in Ponta Delgada, while Christmas festivities include concerts by Vox Cordis and the Orquestra Ligeira de Ponta Delgada, revealed the municipality at the end of November.
Alongside the Expensive Soul concert, Sofia Silva & Code and DJ Kevin Piques’ Live Act will also perform at Portas da Cidade.
