Excluding extraordinary effects, NOS reported a profit increase of 21.3%, reaching 177.7 million euros.
From January to September, consolidated revenues rose by 2% to 1,336.9 million euros, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 4.2% compared to the same period in 2024, totaling 618 million euros. The telecommunications EBITDA increased by 4.3%, reaching 569.1 million euros.
Consolidated revenue growth was achieved despite a decline in Cinema and Audiovisual business revenues during the quarter. NOS noted that from July to September, the lack of blockbusters led to a 20.9% decrease in revenues.
Throughout the nine months, due to successful releases in the first half of the year, such as Lilo & Stitch, Minecraft, and Mission Impossible, revenues in this business area decreased by 0.5% to 74.8 million euros, the company stated.
Telecommunications revenues in the business segment increased by 7.7% to 327.9 million euros, showing strong growth in large companies. IT revenues, which include results from NOS and Claranet Portugal, increased by 3.1% to 111.6 million euros, with a significant 10.6% rise in Service revenues, offsetting weaker performance in the more volatile Equipment and Licenses segment.
