Former Minister of Internal Affairs and candidate for the leadership of PS, José Luís Carneiro, emphasized the party’s vital responsibility to the nation, highlighting the need for it to remain a beacon of hope. This conviction underpins his bid for the role of the party’s Secretary-General.
“I have decided to make myself available, maintaining dialogue with my comrades, to serve PS and the country. It is necessary to keep this dialogue going and await the decisions from the bodies that will decide on the proposal the party’s president will present. Nothing should hinder this availability, but it must be framed within the ongoing dialogue that should continue with my comrades,” José Luís Carneiro explained in an interview with CNN Portugal.
