A total of 333,347 registered voters within the national territory signed up to exercise their right to early voting until 11:59 PM on May 8, according to an official statement.
The registration period ran from May 4 to May 8, exclusively for voters registered within the national territory.
The number of people registered for early voting for the legislative elections on May 18 is the highest ever recorded.
Early voting will take place on Sunday, May 11, one week before the elections, in any municipality on the Mainland or in the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira.
