The Minister of National Defense announced on Monday, March 16, the purchase of an additional Embraer C-390 aircraft for the Portuguese Air Force, marking the sixth of its type.
“It is an option that was foreseen in the contract. An acquisition at the price established at the contract’s inception, not at the current selling price of the aircraft. Therefore, if Portugal wanted to sell it, it would do so with a significant profit,” stated Nuno Melo from the world’s largest aviation fair, taking place in Le Bourget, France.
