
At the end of June, public entities’ overdue payments reached 837 million euros, marking an increase of 243.5 million euros compared to the same period last year and a rise of 204.3 million euros from the previous month, reported the Budgetary Authority in its June budget execution summary.
The year-on-year growth was influenced by an increase in the health sector (341.7 million euros), offset by declines in Central Administration (excluding the health subsector) by 76.5 million euros, Local Administration by 17.8 million euros, and Regional Administration by 5.7 million euros.
In terms of monthly variation, the health sector contributed the most with an increase of 241.8 million euros, although there was a decrease in the Regional Administration sector by 11.8 million euros.
