At the end of March, overdue payments by public entities amounted to 385.7 million euros, representing a decrease of 55.7 million euros compared to the same period last year, according to a report released today by the Directorate-General for the Budget (DGO).
Compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 43.7 million euros.
The year-on-year improvement was driven by a decline in the Central Administration (-76.7 million euros), excluding health sub-sector entities, Local Administration (-23.8 million euros), and Reclassified Public Entities (-4.5 million euros).
However, this reduction was partially offset by an increase in Regional Administration (44.8 million euros) and the Health sector (4.5 million euros).
Regarding the monthly variation, the largest contributions came from EPE Health Units (39.4 million euros) and Regional Administration (8.2 million euros).
