“The incident occurred in a public area where the arrested individuals approached a couple, using a firearm and a bladed weapon, to steal a substantial amount of money,” stated the PJ in a communiqué. “Later, the suspects contacted one of the victims, pressuring them not to report the incident to the authorities.”
The criminal investigation force noted that “immediate investigations enabled the gathering of relevant evidence, leading to the identification, location, and arrest of the suspects.”
The two young individuals are “strongly suspected” of committing aggravated robbery and attempted coercion.
The detainees, who have no criminal records, will face their first judicial interrogation for the imposition of precautionary measures.
