
FlixBus announced on Tuesday an expansion of its operations across Portugal to accommodate the increased demand ahead of Easter.
“Overall, there is an 11% increase in domestic routes compared to the same period in 2024. Connections between Lisbon and Porto have risen by 22%, with a total of 152 trips planned (76 in each direction),” stated a company announcement.
Between “Lisbon and Coimbra, there are 70 daily connections, signifying a 25% increase compared to last year.”
In the “north of the country, connections from Porto to Braga and Guimarães have increased by 13%, offering up to 88 daily trips.”
For international routes, there has been “a 47% growth in connections to France and a 38% increase on routes to Spain. There are up to 16 daily trips between Lisbon and Madrid (eight in each direction), which is 11 more than last year. Between Faro and Seville, the number has increased by 30%, with up to 16 daily connections available. International connections with northern Spain have also been strengthened during this short holiday period to meet the rising demand for this region of Spain,” the announcement further detailed.
