“The accident resulted from the loss of control of an ATV at the entrance of the village of Bemposta, resulting in one fatality and one serious injury. The deceased is an 80-year-old man who underwent resuscitation efforts but succumbed to his injuries and died at the Basic Emergency Service [SUB] of the Mogadouro Health Center,” explained the commander of the Mogadouro Fire Department, Luís Azevedo.

The seriously injured is a 47-year-old woman, who was transported by ambulance to the Hospital of Bragança.

The alert was issued at 16:39.

On the scene were four firefighters supported by two ambulances, along with the immediate life support ambulance (SIV) from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) stationed at the SUB of Mogadouro.

The Mogadouro GNR handled the situation.
