A man died and three others were injured, one of them seriously, following gunfire in a dispute in the early hours of this morning in Amora, Seixal (Setúbal), a PSP source said.
The police source told Lusa that the altercation, near a bar, took place at around 04:00.
Three men were “transported by their own means” to the Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada, where one of them, aged 40, was pronounced dead, the same source said.
One of the other two, aged 22, was considered seriously injured and the other, aged 21, slightly injured, according to the police.
Another man, who was shot and considered to be lightly wounded, was taken to Barreiro hospital, he added.
The PSP went to the scene but did not identify any suspects.
The Setúbal Judicial Police were called to the scene and are investigating the case, according to a source from the Public Security Police (PSP).
The PSP reinforced policing near Garcia de Orta and Barreiro hospitals to try to identify any witnesses to the disorder.
