The fuel price forecasts for the upcoming week, specifically from August 4 to August 10, have been released.
The Automóvel Club Português (ACP) predicts that the price of gasoline will increase by 2.5 cents per liter, while diesel is expected to decrease by 0.5 cents per liter.
“If the forecasts for the upcoming week are confirmed, the average price of regular diesel should drop to 1.585 €/l, while regular gasoline 95 will settle at 1.703 €/l,” stated a note on the website.
According to the Direção Geral de Energia e Geologia (DGEG), the average price of a liter of diesel in Portugal on Friday, August 1, was 1.59 euros, while gasoline was priced at 1.678 euros.
These forecasts assume the continuation of extraordinary tax reduction measures implemented by the government to mitigate price increases.
