
Fuel prices are set to show a mixed trend at the start of next week, with diesel becoming cheaper and gasoline becoming more expensive.
According to sources in the sector cited by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), the price of diesel is expected to decrease by 0.5 cents, while gasoline will increase by 1 cent.
Data from the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG) indicates that the average price per liter of diesel in Portugal was 1.60 euros on Friday, April 4, while gasoline cost 1.748 euros per liter.
The ACP notes, “It is still possible to see that, compared to September 1, 2024, current prices reflect an increase of 7.3 cents for both diesel and gasoline.”
If the forecasts for next week are confirmed, the average price of simple diesel is expected to be 1.55 €/l, while simple gasoline 95 is anticipated to rise to 1.758 €/l.
