Lisbon is among the five best cities in Europe to appreciate urban art. This is the result of a study developed by Radical Storage, which analyzed data from Street Art Cities, Google Maps and travel blogs, as well as evaluations of the works and shares on social networks.
In this study, the best neighborhoods in Europe for urban art were also selected. Among the ten elected is the neighborhood of Campo de Ourique, in Lisbon. This choice reflects the investment that has been made in the exhibition of numerous works of urban art scattered throughout the city of Lisbon by artists such as Vhils, Bordallo II, Odeith, Tamara Alves, among others equally recognized.
For the executive director of Turismo de Lisboa, Paula Oliveira, “Lisbon has an increasingly recognized urban art culture and being elected one of the best destinations in Europe is the result of the work that has been done by the excellent artists who dedicate themselves to this art and who bring new life to Lisbon, along with the appreciation and exposure of the creations of national and foreign artists.”
The Lisbon Tourism Association makes available on its website the Urban Art Route where some of the best known works of art can be seen by everyone.
