Hernâni Vaz Antunes returns this Monday to the Campus of Justice to be heard by Judge Carlos Alexandre.

The interrogations of Operation Picoas are concluded this Monday and the coercive measures should be known during the week.

The four suspects, Armando Pereira, Hernâni Vaz Antunes, Jéssica Antunes and Álvaro Gil Loureiro, have been detained for more than a week on suspicion of corruption, tax fraud and money laundering.

The male detainees left the premises of the Lisbon PSP command headquarters in Moscavide and were transferred to the prison next to the Judiciary Police headquarters.

Only Jéssica Antunes, daughter of Hernâni Vaz Antunes, is still detained at the PSP.

Injured” state

The Public Prosecutor’s Office believes that Armando Pereira secured million-dollar contracts within Altice to ensure dividends. The company will have been harmed by several million euros.

The investigation into the deals involving Altice concluded that the state was harmed by more than €100 million.

Most of it is money that Hernâni Vaz Antunes should have paid in IRS, but companies based in the Madeira Free Trade Zone – irregularly, according to the investigation – also saved many millions in IRC.
