A Flixbus transportation company bus crashed into a commercial establishment at Gare do Oriente in Lisbon’s Parque das Nações area on Monday afternoon.
Videos shared on social media show the bus seemingly rolling uncontrolled towards the Gare, crossing the sidewalk as nearby individuals shout to alert others.
The Public Security Police (PSP) Metropolitan Command of Lisbon confirmed “property damage” and reported no injuries.
PSP Superintendent Sérgio Soares stated that the alert was raised at 8:00 PM for a FlixBus that rolled away, knocked down “several bollards, and came to a stop at a local Chinese restaurant, causing substantial damage.”
Witnesses informed Observador that neither the driver nor passengers were inside the bus at the time.

This incident is the second of its kind, following a similar event last December involving a Rede Expresso bus.
